BT Wholesale have issued an 'Incident Report' covering problems people are having with logging onto their ADSL service. The problem is that an unspecified number of people are unable to get their username/passwords authenticated, therefore they are not able to use the ADSL service.
The fault was raised at 12:50, and currently it is hoped that the problem will be fixed by 2:50pm.
In the meantime, we recommend that you do not log off or reboot your ADSL modem, in case you cannot reconnect.
Updated 15:30: It is believed that the fault is now fixed, indications are that the fault affected the Birmingham RAS and some users on the following exchanges: Manchester Altrincham, Rochdale, Stroud, Narborough, Roath, Rushden, Winsford, Kensal Green, Leigh-on-sea and Purley.
