LTT Wireless Broadband on its way to Edenbridge
Saturday 03 May 2003 17:33:00 by Andrew Ferguson

Edenbridge Chamber of Commerce has released an update on the progress of the project by LTT to bring wireless broadband to Edenbridge and the surrounding area.

The delays appear to have been down to getting the leased line that provides the backhaul installed in Edenbridge. The line runs to Crawley, roughly 20km to the South West of Edenbridge, the final connection by Telewest is expected to occur very shortly.

Details on the service have been sketchy to date, but the Edenbridge website has more information here and a package price list is here. The basic product at £14.95 matches the basic ADSL product speeds, and offers very good value for money. For people not in the initial coverage area there is some hope, plans are afoot to increase coverage once the initial project is running to the following areas: Balcombe, Buxted, Brenchley Matfield, Chiddingstone, Cranbrook, Dallington, Forrest Row, Friars Gate, Hartfield, Heathfield, Lamberhurst, Lingfield, Marden, Mayfield, Paddock Wood, Penhurst, Sissinghurst and Wadhurst.
