Just 6 months ago, the UK saw its first million broadband users. Now thanks to NTL and blueyonder from Telewest, this figure has grown into one million cable broadband users alone. Both companies
estimate that three quarters of customers are choosing cable modem services over ADSL when both are available in an area. Perhaps the advantages of getting cable over ADSL, such as the simplicity
of only having to have one contract on the cable service as opposed one with your ISP for ADSL and one with BT for the phone line is enticing people. Only time will tell how users will sway between
ADSL and cable modem in the future.
